Ghostwatcher
This site is not as innocent as it seems. The images on June Huston's Ghostwatcher may not change from one day to the next, but the quotes that introduce her website sure do; One day it's Paul Virilio the next Luisa Paraguai Donati-- both speaking of her work. Constructions of space and cyberspace are all marked suspect in Huston's project, perhaps an appropriation of the genre website, or perhaps a literalized phantasm. Be sure to pay attention to the site's ghost stories, as well as the FAQ's.

The Telepresent
A art project from 1997 which involved the "magic" box below, with no wires and which automatically sent images from wherever it was to those watching on the Internet.  The box was exchanged as a present the gaze of the net viewer follows such transactions.  Those on the net were also able to communicate with the keeping of the box with real time messages spoken by a speech synthesizer.
