Robots that Manipulate
Ornitorrinco in Eden
On October 3, 1994 Eduardo Kac and Ed Bennett connected the wireless
telerobot Ornitorrinco located in Chicago to participants in Lexingtong
(KY), Chicago (IL), and Seattle (WA). The body of Ornitorrinco was
shared by all of the participants who viewed the process via an Internet camera.
Participants controlled the robot's body by pressing keys on the telephone.

Tower
of Hanoi Net-Robot
The objective of this site is to solve the Tower
of Hanoi, a puzzle invented in 1883.
Users watch as a robotic arm performs their commands, while the
hands of a clock swirl in the background. The 'validating' property
of the clock is summed up by the site's most frequently asked question:
"Is the robot real?" to which the creators reply, "Oh, yes it is.
First you can see a radio controlled clock in the left upper corner and
you will see the second hand moving. It shows the current German time."
